I started playing guitar when I was 8 years old. From that moment, I knew I was hooked.

In the beginning, I was mostly self-taught. I didn't start taking lessons until high school. When I started taking lessons, my skills took off. I was finally able to put into music the sounds I was hearing in my head.

I attended University of Maine as a music performance major where I studied classical guitar. There, I had the opportunity to study jazz improvisation under the very accomplished Dr. Karel Lidral. I also performed in the UMaine jazz band. I graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance with a concentration in classical guitar.

In 2006, I was invited to perform classical guitar onboard USS Constitution (ÒOld IronsidesÓ), the world's oldest commissioned warship afloat, in Boston. I have been a member of local bands such as Raw Chicken, Bad Island, Wizard Diary, and Temperature of the Sun.

Today, I teach students of every skill level at Knapp's Music Center in Bangor, Maine.
